Her mother, a Venezuelan jeweller and her father, a closeted blues guitar maestro. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2013, she released her debut EP "Once Upon A Time" in March 2014 whilst living and working in NYC.
Sofia returned home to tour the UK for the first time in January 2015, opening for Norwegian folk songstress extraordinaire, "Siv Jakobsen," who is an advocate and ally for the LGBT community and has played alongside SOAK in several different festivals in Europe.
'In The City' her upcoming record, is due for release in early October, featuring the debut single and music video for her song 'Ice Cold Love,' which premiered on Gigslutz and has also been featured on Songwriting Magazine, Curve Magazine, Clash Magazine and more. Her second single and music video 'Soldiers,' was shot in Norway and was recently premiered on Curve Magazine and has been featured/reviewed on a number of different sites. The video draws attention to Sofia and her best friend, Avery Nejam, up and coming artist/graphic designer who has worked alongside Harper's Bazaar, Nylon Japan and also displayed her work at Art Basel in Florida. Both suffer from Crohn's Disease and hope to raise awareness on the disease and promote open communication regarding the matter.
