The two veterans of the band at that time were guitarist “Azkel” and drummer “Blutfürst” (Blood Prince), who came together and decided to make music together. Shortly thereafter Antis joined them who then took over the part of the singer. In the beginning the band was associated with Trash / Death Metal but after their first demo "Treibjagd" (hunt) it was obvious that this band would go a new musical path and won`t be stuck in a gridlocked category of Metal music.

Their debut album published Skady in autumn 2009. "Eyn Raunen in Tannicht" raving fans, scene and press with their pagan style and sold pretty good in Germany. Skady gradually grew together and created their very own distinctive style, this positive development could not be stopped by some personal changes happened at that time.

After the first album was recorded and presented at various concerts, the guys have also started writing some song material for a new album. By a further change of the musicians in the band, the recordings for "Mysterium" could not commence until two years later in winter 2011. With the two new members Djerun (drums) and Varr (second guitar) fresh thoughts and new ideas came into the band, it was a bit of a gamble with new musical steps so that "Mysterium" which was supposed to become clearly distinguishable from the first album and became an Album unequaled to date.

In summer 2012 the cohesion of Skady was put to a test again. Singer Andras one of the first band members, who enriched both albums "Eyn Raunen in Tannicht" and "Mysterium" with his voice and his singing, went because of a job to Scandinavia so he had to leave the band. Many weeks they were looking in vain for a suitable successor, until finally Sorg was found he joined the guys from Skady and he still takes part with his unique style his voice .

Together with Sorg who not just offers vocal talent, but also writes very profound and challenging lyrics for the band, Skady were finally able to complete the recording for their third album "When the Sun Disappeared" in spring of 2013. Unfortunately almost a year later the album has yet to be released and is still in publication. This is due to an so far unsuccessful search for a label and can not yet be published till the search is over.

In the meantime they put a music video for the song "Omega" online from the new album. It is the first music video of the band and shot in Berlin.

They look forward to see fans and newcomers to the scene listening to songs from "When the Sun Disappeared" soon, but one thing is certain: In the future the current line-up of Skady is expected to deliver some great music and concert highlights.
