SILVERTONGUES provide the soundtrack.
In the face of the inescapable compulsion to make either/or decisions, the Hamburg duo SILVERTONGUES counter with an ironic "neither/nor" on their debut EP. With their mix of catchy melodies, dystopian guitars, and a lived equality between female and male vocals, Rike Rakete and Manuel de Rien create their own identity between wave-like rock, sleazy pop, and psychedelic garage, wich elicits associations with Bands like QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, BLOOD RED SHOES or THE KILLS. The five songs on the „neither/nor“-EP reflect a sense of loneliness in crowds, the hypocritical expectations of others, and the all-too-human desire to push one’s own psychological and physical limits. The crisis persists, but it doesn't have to define you completely. In the sweetness of fear, the awareness of endless possibilities can no longer hide. And who said you can't feel good in the process?
It's not the fear of standing on a cliff and falling down. It's the fear of plummeting oneself. SILVERTONGUES are here to catch you.
SILVERTONGUES will release their debut single on May 31.
