We revive and create our names anew.

We become a collection of sundries; the particles of the past that create the present. The newly formed trio by Anna Gadt, Zbigniew Chojnacki and Krzysztof Gradziuk is a translation of the Renaissance past into the contemporary improvised music.

Apart from the original music material, one can encounter with the unusual choice of instruments, when considering the Polish music stage.
VOICE / ACCORDION / DRUMS

Apart from melodies inspired by the epoch (Nicolas of Radom, Waclaw of Szamotuły, Joannis de Lublin), their music is bonded together with the philosophy of music based on the three pillars: spontaneity/individualism in the joint creation – here and now / honesty of performance.

anna gadt
a singing musician who expresses herself by means of the word, sound and silence. As a composer, she perceives silence not only as a kind of the musical rest, but, first of all, as the key moment when performing the intellectual work. The depth of voice and excellent technique enable her to search for the rare sound. The expression of performance and the emotional message are the main goals of her sound explorations.

krzysztof gradziuk
an esthete of the percussion sound; a colorist and creator of melody, an uncompromising artist who searchesforthe newpathsofdevelopment,inconformitywithone’sownawarenessofartistictaste. The abstractness of the percussive content, set with flexibility and virtuosity enhance the impression of the unconventional art of playing, making Krzysztof Gradziuk one of the most original drummers of the European contemporary jazz.

zbyszek chojnacki
an accordionist, improviser.
He perceives music and the sound structures in a free, symbolic manner. The dialogue and the encounter with the other people become the most crucial factors. The freedom of communication and the unlimited possibilities in the means of performance offered by a single sound let the artist fully form the expression and establish the natural contact with the audience. He frequently draws inspiration from the non-musical sources. He reckons that one can be inspired by a blade of grass in the middle of the city as well as by a chair in the middle of the stage...
