With a voice like velvet to deliver her positive outlook on life, this Singer-Songwriter never fails to warm and the hearts of Listeners.
Very recently legendary British soul and R&B singer Seal fell victim to her charm and decided to pay Sherika a surprise visit on the Waterloo Southbank, where she is known to regularly busk. Together they performed Marvin Gaye’s ‘I Heard It Through The Grapevine’ and Seals smash hit ‘Kiss From A Rose’. The duet was streamed live on Seal’s Facebook and was broadcasted on ITV News. Seal also set up a one to one Facebook live interview with Sherika back at his hotel to ensure Sherika was given a proper introduction to his fans.
Seal was left so impressed by Sherika’s performance and dedication to being an Artist he invited her to open his show at Greenwich Music Time to 5000 people. They also performed another duet together of Ben. E King’s ‘Stand by Me’ to express his support even further Seal also had Sherika open his show in Brussels at Cirque Royal. http://www.itv.com/news/london/update/2016-07-06/busker-appears-on-stage-with-seal-in-greenwich/ Sherika and Seal are still in contact with one another while Seal finishes his world tour…
Last year this Songstress also exploded on social media as a video of her performing her self written London anthem "Give Me A Job" went viral and notched up over 25,000 shares on Facebook in just 24 hours. Her songwriting talent was soon broadcasted on BBC Ones News at 6: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-30919507 and she was also invited onto BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live show, where she was interviewed and also performed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0501jlx.
Sherika was even invited to perform "Give Me A Job" for her boss, the chairman of John Lewis, Charlie Mayfield with 300 other John Lewis business leaders. She was also contacted directly by Jamal Edwards himself to debut on his SBTV music channel with 2 performances.
With appearances like these and still gracing her favourite spot on the SouthBank, Sherika has gathered an impressive number of loyal fans including Benji Rogers CEO of PledgeMusic, where she ran a successful crowd funding campaign releasing her debut album "Just Saying" sherikasherard.bandcamp.com
