Savannah Biography

Savannah, the hottest emerging band from the midlands paving the way for a new era of independent artists. Their unique rock influenced music is breaking new boundaries for an old school approach.

Since their formation in mid 2013 & self titled debut EP release mid 2014 Savannah have won their local areas hearts and have amassed a community of followers who adore the band and what the music stands for. Travelling all across the country to support Savannah, the fan-base is ever growing & expanding to new areas. The recording of their EP introduced them to producer Gavin Monaghan of Magic Garden Studios who has worked with them on 3 of their 4 singles and helped capture the awesome sound that is Savannah.

The bands ethics are breath-taking as they relentlessly gig, record & release their music through Hartfield Records, the bands self-founded record label.

Savannah released their debut single, the indie anthem MOVE early in 2015 to their first sell out audience of 250 at their local town hall & May 2015 saw their second single release.

The double a-side single "Back Street Robber" / "Live Your Life" caught the wider attention of their home county as the gritty, true to life feature length music video for the track caused Savannah to become a household name within Telford, along with making a local celebrity of video star "Mad Chris".

Stirring opinions & breaking boundaries Savannah are always pushing themselves to bigger and better things. September 26th 2015 saw Savannah become the first band to play on the summit of the iconic Telford landmark The Wrekin. This was a massive achievement for the band being the unofficial highest gig ever staged in the UK with donations of over £800 to Hope House Children’s Hospice.

December 2015 was host to Savannahs first national tour where they showcased their act across 11 different towns & city’s before returning home for Christmas and surprising their fans with the secret release “This Is My Time”, a psychedelic rock anthem that captures the bands versatile sound perfectly with gentle nods toward their many influences. This was the first official release the band had recorded with Tom Gittins of Monochrome Studios who brought a new light to their sound.

2016 has already seen the release of “Music Is My High” the indie/rock track that bites big with its statement & sound. Supported once again with an iconic video that features footage from their historic Wrekin gig and an elaborate story centred around over 60 Scooterists. The release of “Music Is My High” was a true Savannah celebration as the unofficially reopened The Anstice for the occasion, a Victorian working men’s club that has been left un-touched since the 1970s. Savannah sold out this iconic venue to 400 loving fans and made history as they took Telford by storm.

With over 500 live performances under their belt and many support slots for well established artists Savannah only need a stage to make their presences know. They plan to release a complication CD of their singles mid 2016 before they start working towards their much awaited début album release whilst touring and showcasing their music across the country.
