He brings out his first opus "Blues For Nel " ( Musicast) in 2004. The album gave him a frank public and critical success. The orchestra of this "Coltranian in the best sense of the term" (The New Observer) presents in November, 2010 an ambitious and original project : « The Upanishad Experiences » suite of compositions for  eleven musicians  freely inspired by texts of Nietzsche and by Baudelaire with the narrator Jackie Berroyer
Year 2013 marks a new stage in the route of this requiring artist in constant search, with the publication of its new album, "Clear Fire" on his own label "Gaya Music Production". The contribution of the voice in the orchestration, the traditional percussions of the Maghreb (from where Samy is partially native) associated with a powerful rhythmic, knowing the tradition and the language of the most living jazz, gives birth to an original, organic sound material, just as much as meditative.  "Genuine Wisp energy " ( Liberation), this last album " rose to the the young tenor at the level of the greatest saxophonists and composers " ( The DNJ ) and earned him a unanimous media support ( "Coup de coeur" France Musique , Revelation Jazzmag, "Découverte" Jazz News, top 2013 TSF , L'Humanité , etc ...) and a broad contact with the public (New Morning, Festivals from Abidjan , Tangier , Marciac, Radio France International Montpelier, the Olympia with Gregory Porter ... )
2014 will undoubtedly be at the height of this course , with the preparation, then the release in 2015 of his next album, at this time in Quartet , the queen orchestration for instrumentalists and soloists : "A Feast Of Friends" . The saxophonist and composer seizes from now on more transverse directions to make his new tool of search and trance, daring and sensible project, discover soon...

Besides his career as a leader , saxophonist also has a solid sideman development since he has been heard regularly alongside Eric Legnini , Simon Goubert , Christian Escoudé , Jean Loup Longnon , Gregory Porter, Kylee Lee Evans, Lionel & Stéphane Belmondo, Manhu Roche ...

Let's add that Samy Thiébault writes regularly for the theater and the cinema: for the Festival of Avignon 2009 with the piece of Matei Visniec « L'histoire des ours Pandas », for Edouard Tissot's movie "En son absence" (October, 2010), and for the movie of Yvon Marciano "Vivre ! " (September, 2009). He teaches saxophone and improvised music at the Conservatory of Choisy Le Roi since september 2010.
