The group consists of 16 people (young and old).
The name "SAMBA DE COCO IRMÃS LOPES" was given to the group in 2000 as a way to honor the three sisters: Severina Lopes, Leni Lopes and Josefa Lopes (sisters of the late Ivo Lopes, the king of Arcoverde coconut), teachers the 3rd generation of family coconut Lopes, who in the nineties spread the coconut cultivation in Arcoverde and region, encouraging local people to know and disseminate tradition will have learned with your family.
The group is characterized by its strong musicality, for compositions that show the nature, love, mystery and tales of backcountry setting. The dance is different from the other groups, because it portrays the evolution of coconut trampled, ranging marking the toré, the little train to the current troupe.
The master Severina Lopes is the great leader, artist and nationally recognized award-winning, powerful example of love for Arcoverde coconut.
