Rosco McCabe is not new to the music here in Manchester, but it wasn’t until this chance meeting of the minds, that Rosco & the Dirty Plains came to be.

The four piece Manchester band consisting of Rosco McCabe on vocals and guitar, Andrew Glassford on lead guitar, Jamie Brannan on drums and Alex Cardwell on bass guitar brings you a raw honest powerful sound that quickly makes them stand out in the Manchester Music Scene

Leaving their assembly up to chance encounters, friends of friends, lots of whiskey, and “strong facial hair” they have found their niche, making the type of music that not only sounds good on records but recreated in live shows. “In this day and age where it is almost impossible to create revenue through sales because most people get their music for free, it’s more important for artists to realise that their music is out there for people to enjoy and much more emphasis on becoming a good live band.”

What sets this band apart is the sheer authenticity of who they truly are. Honest lyrics, melodies that will captivate you and make you want to listen, with an underlying reminiscence of the galvanising energy of classic rock, a genre we all know and love. Rosco & the Dirty Plains has the keen ability to take their separate influences and blend them together perfectly to create this explosive sound. From Jamie’s background in hardcore rock to Alex bringing in the missing piece with his funk bass guitar riffs, this band spans across too many genres to list. And while it is easy to get caught up in the hype of the scene, this band’s main goal is telling a story true enough to make people stay and listen.

The single “GoldMine,” off of their new unreleased EP, is the perfect way to introduce Rosco & the Dirty Plains and showcase what they are truly all about. This track starts off with a simple guitar, a perfect introduction to Rosco’s earthy, brassy voice. As each instrument is slowly introduced the steady build up soon ignites this fire of dirty, gritty raw energy that will leave you mesmerised.
