After projects like the Barcelona Gipsy Klezmer Orchestra and Eastern Chamber, the clarinetist Robindro Nikolic keeps on with his journeys within times and places of the world and music. Joined by virtuosos of the ancient, classical and jazz scene, he presents Ars Vulgaris.

ARS VULGARIS (Ars - the Art or the method; Vulgaris - belonging to people) is a search for the balance between the classic and provocative, the contemplative and the dynamic, between the personal and the traditional.

The program is devoted to the multi-ethnic populations whose art has preserved their language until modern times. As Robindro says, this preservation is possible thanks to the way these sounds reach the hearts, sensitive to the beauty of the authentic.

The sound will take us through the Mediterranean, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa, the cradle of civilization. World music reinterpreted on Robindro’s style, a classically trained artist who knows how to improvise like a genuine jazz musician.
