She wrote her first song a little over a year ago, and hasn’t stopped writing since. Her songs are alternative and gutsy. They meld synth and tribal rhythms together with sounds of nostalgia, sounds that you may have heard in the school yard growing up. Hook driven and melodically grounded, r.e.l.’s songs have something that sticks with listeners; they’re catchy and raw and pristine and daydreaming and infectious and introspective and vulnerable all at once. She’s played several shows around LA, has a music video up on Youtube, and a newly finished EP funded with a Kickstarter campaign.
