Queen Dee & The Hornets have landed on the UK Soul scene with a sugar rush of sexiness that will have music fans clambering for their finest dance shoes to shimmer and shake on the dance floor.

Brace yourself for much more than a kiss of glamour and musical class, Queen Dee & The Hornets will change your perception of soul, such is the star-like allurement of Queen Dee’s voice complimented by the soaringly tight Hornets. Queen Dee & The Hornets were formed under the urge of bringing Soul with a twist and a capital S back into music.

Frank Uhl is the engine behind the music, producer, writer, drummer and MD he stirs the power house of funk in collaboration with Miss Dee.

Formed around the raspy-raw and soulful singer Queen Dee, her band of 7-9 from the London urban jungle and surroundings includes some of London’s finest that have worked with the likes of Gregory Porter, DJ Fresh, Martha & The Vandellas, DJ Fresh, Professor Green, Jocelyn Brown, and Scubaroots to name a few.

This soulful funk band released their debut EP at a sold out show at Charlie Wrights Jazz Lounge, London in August 2014. Since their first performance at Winterwell Garden Party in June’14 they have received BBC Radio London airplay, performed at Carousel Festival, Hootananny, Mr Wolfs, Underbelly Hoxton and others and are headlining Battersea’s Magic Garden in January with more dates around the UK to follow.
