Alt/Rock quintet with psychedelic overtones.
With the imminent arrival of Psyence's debut album in Spring/Summer 2019, the band plan to tear up the stage in chase of the colossal year that was 2018. The band landed on stage at Kendal Calling, Shiiine On Weekender and amongst many other renowned stages across the UK and in Paris.
Already being lauded by the likes of The NME, Q Magazine, Clash Magazine, Louder Than War and The Guardian, as well as being hailed as "the best live band" he'd seen in 10 years by The Charlatan's Martin Blunt following their Liverpool Festival of Psychedelia performance, Psyence are rapidly becoming more than just 'ones to watch'.
“The drums sound like Can’s ‘Vitamin C’ as the guitars play a frantic game of snakes and ladders through the kaleidoscopic soundscapes.”
THE NME
“This isn’t some flower power ideology: rather, this is cheap drugs in a run down bedsit, furious escapism from concrete surroundings.”
CLASH
“Stoke quintet Psyence combine the melodic sensibilities of Tame Impala with the rhythmic thud of ‘Exterminator’-era Primal Scream”
THE QUIETUS
“Psyence are now ready to show the world what they’ve got, in their case face melting 60s rock that sounds like Wooden Shjips drowning in a thick, molten vat of acidic organs and churning riffs.”
