I love the chemistry you have going on” Nicole Scherzinger (X Factor)
Pryme Kingz are an Urban Pop group from South London consisting of rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer members Young Freeze, La’al Pryme and Prelude DM.
Since forming the group in late 2011, the boys have built a loyal fanbase with a combination of exciting digital content – such as vlogs, fan competitions and cover songs – and high energy stage performances. Pryme Kingz have also gained exposure from various online media outlets including, Bigga Fish, Gigslutz and The POP Shock, to name a few.
Pryme Kingz are no strangers to live TV as they were X Factor contestants in 2013 and also appeared on ITV2's Xtra Factor broadcast; they are still recognised from their time on the show to this date. More recently, in anticipation of their recent EP release, ‘#YOWEWINNING’, Pryme Kingz was also interviewed live on the entertainment channel London Live.
In a short space of time, Pryme Kingz have not only gained almost half-a-million views on their YouTube channel and had the videos for singles ‘Turnin’ Me On’ and ‘Millionaire’ broadcast on music TV (Flava, Chart Show, Channel AKA), but they have also received endorsements of support from other chart topping artists including ‘Dappy’ (of N-Dubz) for their cover of his song ‘Good Intentions’ and Aston Merrygold (of JLS) for their cover of the song ‘Superhero’.
Pryme Kingz describe their distinctive sound as “mixing elements of successful Pop songs with Rap, while pushing the boundaries of modern music, the fun part is producing music with a variety of other influences – everything from Reggae, to Afrobeats, to Latin American music.”
The group have also been regularly touring and performing at schools and venues around the country including O2 Academy Islington, Brixton Jamm and Selfridges London, and are now beginning to establish themselves as a solid live act. Be sure you go to see them live and also check out their videos, merchandise and current EP, ‘#YOWEWINNING’ online.
Stay tuned for exciting new material coming in 2016 and more exciting news as they continue to push the boundaries of Urban Pop.
