Influences range from Pixies to Weezer, taking in shoegaze and grunge along the way. The band combines subtle references to comic books, sci-fi and even professional wrestling with the distorted guitars, pounding drums, and reflective lyrics to offer an original concept within the alternative rock genre.

Having gigged, in notable venues such as Night & Day Café, The Roadhouse and Academy 3, President Ray-Gun’s live shows have been described as an escape back to the 90’s music scene. They aim to perform their music with pop sensibilities and to ensure that the entire audience is entertained and absorbed in the music.
