Polar Dear is the moniker of a Hungarian singer/songwriter Oleg Borsos who is attempting to have a multilayered and carefully designed sound inspired by the eighties' make-up wearing electronic scene and the contemporary futuristic-experimental altpop performers.

Oleg usually withdraw himself from Budapest to have his creative solitude in he rural part of Hungary and his songs reflects on this duality. The songs of Polar Dear are synth-driven electronic pop that is accessible and mellifluous with plenty of hands-in-the-air moments without crossing over to the chart-inhabiting uninspired mainstream pop waters. They are full of wistfulness but desire to act and they are sorrowful yet uplifting at the same time.

In the past few years Polar Dear has stepped on the verge of the Hunagrian mainstream scene by having the singles like Even If I'm Late, Out Of Sight and Wish Me Luck, but lately Oleg needed a little break to write new songs for his upcoming EP and to rethink his concept of live performance.
