Plumm is a hybrid multi-instrumentalist, accomplished vocalist and producer hailing from South London.

Musically she constructs mood driven soundscapes using a combination of rich vocals and a dark, eccentric palate. Similarities can be drawn from the great female jazz and blues artists of the past, the sporadic but measured tones of Nina Simone and the husky, gritty timbre of Janis Joplin to name a couple. Plumm’s inspiration from these heroes, are reflected through a married theme of eclecticism in production and musical styles to create eerie and poignant sounds. Dark and Jazzy vocals, Plumm’s coming at you with grit and soul.

Graduating from the BRIT School at 18, Plumm went on to study at the Julian Joseph Jazz academy before becoming SOAS alumni with a degree in Ethnomusicology and a specialism in North Indian Classical music.

Live, Plumm's shows have created a buzz within the ever growing London jazz scene with her varying arrangements; an ever rotating eponymous band, a one woman vocal pedal show and part of larger collectives such as The Levitation Orchestra. Her constant obsession for creating hybridity between sound and style, especially with her North Indian Classical training, has given her an exciting reputation for eccentric and passionate performances.

Plumm released her debut EP ‘The Shed’ in 2018. Who Knows, the most recent single released October 2019 which lends itself to a more neo soul sound. Then a headline show at Camden’s Jazz Cafe arrives to your eye and ear holes April 21st 2020.

She recently was invited to perform live at Maida Vale for the BBC 1 xtra show with Moses Boyd:
