"A sound and an ethos that sets them apart from a lot of bands playing right now in the North West...Mixing a love for Americana with a contemporary fascination with post-rock, Plainview have found a sound that defines Alternative – new and diverse, yet oddly nostalgic." The Ark Preston.
With influences covering the range from jazz to grunge and all points in between, the Plainview sound has developed through years of listening to and playing many different kinds of music. The band aim to create songs that mix those diverse influences into new and unique music, written by Darren.
Often working with guest musicians to explore the potential in each song, Plainview want to create a diverse body of work unbound by genres but connected by great songs and melodies.
They released their first EP "YEARS FROM NOW" in 2013 via Nub Country Records. The band is based in Lancaster and was formed in 2012.
