Led by Pierre-Luc Bégin (We are Wolves), visual artist Julia Daigle, and actor and composer Éliane Préfontaine, Paupière play with a rare display of sincerity in their raw lyrics and uncompromising musicality.
Their music unfolds at the junction of their numerous influences, inspired by the Montreal expat music scene (Arcade Fire), as well as the synthetic sounds of France in the 80s (Eli et Jacno). Paupière manages to reinvent the francophone image of its generation with looks and panache!
“Cinq heures”, Paupière’s first single, is only a taste of what’s waiting for you on their debut EP, slated for release in January 2016 via Lisbon Lux Records in Canada and Entreprise Record in France.
