Mixing the sounds of 80’s synth pop, 90’s alternative rock and 00’s post hardcore Pale Oaks create a unique backdrop to share stories dealing with themes of loss, escapism and nostalgia.
Merging influences from the guitar driven modern rock of Jimmy Eat World, Biffy Clyro and Thrice to the synth pop of M83 and CHVRCHES and everything in between they create a sound that feels familiar but fresh at the same time.
In their short time together Pale Oaks have managed to tour Mainland and Eastern Europe as well as various cities in Greece.
Pale Oaks’ debut EP “…I’ve Been Better” recorded and mixed by Alex Ketenjian (Planet of Zeus, Despite Everything) at Unreal Studios and mastered by Emily Lazar (Foo Fighters, Tegan and Sara, Touche Amore) was released on September 22nd.
