With his new stage name "OPTIBOB", fresh energy, lots of inspiration and endless passion, he returns to the DJ booth and his musical roots. After a two-year creative break, he returns to the boards that mean his world.

His musical journey through electronic music has now taken a remarkable 28 years. The last 20 years in Berlin were the most beautiful, most influential and most successful for him. At the end of 2015 he decided to take a creative break.

He quickly made a name for himself in the Berlin scene with his radio show on the pirate radio station "TwenFM" and his own unusual underground party series "stylomat". Printed coffee filters served as flyers, which many still remember with pleasure today. But also the choice of the party locations was special, e.g. a former bordell or a former Stasi sauna.

Also various Berlin club owners came regularly to celebrate and were impressed both by OPTIBOB's special track selection and technical abilities as a DJ, and by his energetic, attracting and unique performance. The first bookings and residencies in clubs like Cookies, Tresor, WMF, 90°, Sage or Sternradio were not long in coming. Later followed other clubs like KaterHolzig, Ritter Butzke, King Size, Trust, Chalet and many more.

Over the last 20 years OPTIBOB's journey has taken him through various house genres and from the many different Berlin clubs to various national cities and international destinations such as Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Malta, Romania, Thailand, Russia and Mexico.

A very special highlight without a doubt is the EXPO 2015 in Milan, where he represented the city of Berlin as DJ in the German Pavilion and played every evening for one week typical Berlin deep house sound on the open air stage with thousands of guests from all over the world.

OPTIBOB was also allowed to play alongside some of the big names of the international scene such as DJ Deep, AlexKid, Francois K, Phonique, Kiki, Ben Klock, Haito, Sebastian Krieg, Eric D. Clark, Toni Humphries, Hector Romero, Fedde le Grand, Axwell, Judge Jules, Tom Novy, DJ Chuckie, Eddie Thoneick, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclair, Lenny Fontana, Eddie Amador.

In 2008, he attracted international attention with his groovy oldschool remix of New York house legend Lenny Fontana (Powerhouse) on Ministry of Sound Germany/Caus-N-ff-ct's "Wait 4 U".
The record was licensed to Italy and UK (Ministry of Sound UK).

He received a great honour when Giorgio Moroder agreed to produce an exclusive remake of "The Chase" in 2009. In cooperation with hit producer OGB, the record was released with exclusive remixes by Todd Terry and Lenny Fontana among others and made it into the top ten of various dance charts all over Europe (e.g. DDC # 5, Ibiza Club Charts # 5, Swiss DJ Charts # 7), as well as some international compilations.

At the end of 2015 he decided to end the journey with his previous artist name Calvin Bosco and take a creative break.

BACK TO THE ROOTS!

His musical roots come from Deep House and UK Garage House, sprinkled with influences from Techno and Tech House, to which he now returns after a two-year break as OPTIBOB. Many new ideas and projects are in his pockets.

In the spring of 2019, he successfully completed his Audio Engineering Diploma study at the renowned SAE Institute in Berlin in order to be able to implement the ideas he had collected in recent years more precisely.

A recording studio and the relaunch of his legendary "stylomat" event series are planned for 2020.
