From local pubs to festivals each member has a decades-long history in music, bringing their own skills and influences to this project including guitarist Jack Spence’s studio experience in production and engineering. To complete OneUnder, Jack and singer Dave Millward recruited Harlan Boulton for drums and Sheridan Morton on bass to help define the band’s style.
The vocal waves demonstrated on ‘No Life’, ‘Never Town’ and ‘Sorrow’ prove there’s a real voice on offer from Dave Millward and throughout their catalogue the strings of Jack and Shez combine with the understated confidence of Harlan’s drumming to create a progressive, punchy soundscape with psychmetal elements that would have graced Nirvana’s hit list.
Their first EP became a full ten-track album thanks the band’s inability to stop writing. ‘Decade of Decay’ was released on Native Records and caught plenty of attention in the US with west coast radio stations such as KROQ lending enthusiastic support. Bouyed up by their trans-Atlantic reception OneUnder are constantly writing, adding fresh material to their catalogue which promises to be extensive.
