Mentioning inspirations ranging from Ariel Pink and Toro y Moi to Marvin Gaye and The Beach Boys, Olivier reveals his eclectic song writing abilities, resulting in modern songs that feel like a cool dive into the surfy, souly sound of the 70s.
Olivier Heim is an award-winning songwriter and performer, currently based in Warsaw, Poland.
Born in the USA to Dutch parents and growing up in Luxembourg, Olivier showed his musical potential at an early age, playing and composing on piano and guitar. After high school, Olivier moved to Denmark where he would form the award-winning band Très.b with his childhood friend Thomas Pettit and Polish Misia Furtak. After the discontinuation of Tres.b, Olivier continued to pursue his musical career, releasing two records under the moniker Anthony Chorale.
Olivier has been awarded with the Fryderyk Award in 2010 and the prestigious Paszporty Polityki Award in 2013.
Now Olivier returns under his own name with his latest LP "A Different Life". Last year Olivier performed his solo material on festivals such as Primavera Sound Festival, Reeperbahn Festival and Polish OFF Festival. The upcoming LP was recorded, mixed and produced by Michał Kupicz and mastered in New York by grammy-nominated mastering engineer Joe Lambert (The National, Deerhunter, Unknown Mortal Orchestra).
