Tidal Love | Album | 2015 |
Emilio Saiz (Nothing Places' frontman and primary creative mind), now backed by Xavi Molero on drums and Ricky Falkner and Martí Perarnau as multiinstrumetalists -the three of them luminaries of the Spanish alternative music scene on their own right- is back with 'Tidal Love', a musical kaleidoscope as surprising as it is addictive.
Recorded at Red Bull Studio Madrid by Oswaldo Terrones under the guidance of studio guru Suso Saiz, 'Tidal Love' makes good use of the foursome's talents to trace a sonic ellipse in perpetual mutation, a rara avis propelled by powerful and hypnotic beats.
Nothing Places have evolved into a strange musical beast, one that knows how to navigate the dark waters of experimentation and creative freedom but does so with the elegance and tastefulness inherent to classic pop music, attributes that foreshadow a truly exceptional record.
