After playing so many intense years with the band Dawa I have decided to take a leap and try to work on my solo project.

Since I wrote most of the songs in the band gave me confidence to go on this journey and see where it will lead.

It is a super exciting time for me, as I am used to being and playing in a band; relying on each other onstage and offstage. To redefine myself in a new way musically is a very big challenge but also a very inspiring process for me.
I am very excited to get out there and play as munimuni.

About "Masters Of Our Time":

Calm. Composure.

This is the very first impression upon a first listen of munimuni’s „Masters Of Our Time“. In the loud, hectic and short-lived times we live in it’s a calm that is soothing. The song builds slowly, nearly provocatively so, unobtrusively yet persistently and pulls you in with a force quite unexpected.

„I feel lost“ is the very first utterance and it comes only more than two minutes into the song. Just moments before a beat has come in. By now, however, you have already fallen for munimuni and this voice. The song culminates in the statement: „we might never die / because we are the masters of our time“. There’s nothing left to add.

This is munimuni’s first musical statement, congenially co-produced by Patrick Pulsinger and it leaves you wanting more. It leaves you wanting more from an artist who relies on the sheer power of his songs and his voice completely and at the same time manages to blend analogue, warm sounds with electronics without the latter becoming a pointless and soulless gimmick. Simultaneously, munimuni wants the listener to be there in the moment with all the attention they can muster since it’s only then that the sound-landscape can fully unfurl all its power and pull.
