R&B and his $oulshakers was a smashing hit in the Dutch bluescircuit in the nineties from pas century. After recording a live cd the band was invited for all the bluesfestivals in Holland and they even opened for BB King in his European tour from 1992.
The busy schedule in combination with study, 40 hour-jobs and children led ultimately to the final end of the successful band. But twenty years later the musicians realize themselves that they once played in one of the nicest groups of their career. A post on Facebook, where the tromboneplayer asked his once fellow-musicians for a session, was the beginning of the restart of the $oulshakers. This time however with a female singer instead of the former male vocals. The spinal cord of the band is formed by the same musicians, a little bit older and wiser but not necessarily sadder…
The recipe for the music however is still the same: to revive the old rhythm & blues and jump ‘n jive. But the Mrs. leads the band: Ginnie Geordie, one of the best r&b-singers in Holland. The brand new arrangements by Mylène Schrijen let the four piece brass section sound like a full big band. And completely new to Mrs. R&B and the $oulshakers is the sound of the Hammond organ.
Everyone who can stand still while this band is playing is either deaf or motorly disturbed. The $oulshakers and their new singer will burn down the house.

Die elf Musiker von Mr. R&B and his $oulshakers waren in die Neunziger des letztes Jahrhundert ein gewaltiger hit in die Holländische Bluesscene. Die erste live-cd der band öffnete Türen zu alle Festivals und in 1992 waren die $oulshakers support act für die Europaïsche Tour von Blueslegende BB King.

Aber, wie das so oft geht, die Band strauchelde über die fiele Terminen in Combination mit Studie, arbeit und kleine Kinder. Aber jetzt, schlicht 20 Jahre später, sind die Musiker sich einig: the $oulshakers war das schönste Erlebnis in ihre musikalische Karrière. Eine Frage über Facebook – der Posaunenspieler wollte gerne mal wieder zusammen jammen – führte zu erneuerte Begeisterung und the $oulshakers waren wieder da. Aber jetzt mit eine Frau auf leadvocal an Stelle von einem Mann. Mr. R&B konnte andere Beschäftigungen nicht einstellen mit die Band. Eine sehr lange Suche führte letztendlich zu eine Mrs. R&B. Aber der Rahmen von die $oulshakers sind noch immer die selbe Musiker: alter, weiser, aber nicht unbedingt nachdenkliger…

Die Formel der Musik ist noch immer dieselbe: das beleben von alter Rhythm & Blues und Jump’n Jive. Die grossartige Ginnie Geordie glanzt mit ihre Stimme und Drums, Bas, Gitarre und Piano laufen wie am Schnürchen. Die vier Bläser lassen sich anhören wie eine ganze Bigband durch die funk nagelneue Arrangementen von Mylène Schrijen. Und völlig neu für die Sound von Mrs. R&B and the $oulshakers ist das Hammond.

Jeder der bei diese Musik seine Beine nicht bewegen kann, ist entweder Taub oder hat einen motorischen Fehler. The $oulshakers und ihre neue Sängerin werden das Publikum in Feuer und Flammen ersetzen.
