Mixalydia | EP | 2013 |
Whilst gaining recognition with their explosive live set, the Rhondda four-piece have new
ambitions. Featured as “the ones to watch in 2015” - the new sound Wales (top 100 bands)
Mixalydia’s sights are now firmly set on success.
Through Orchard Ent. Mixalydia have supported bands like The People The Poet and The
Moons at Clwb Ifor Bach. Playing festivals like DimSwn, HUB Festival, Aberdare
Festival, and working with The YPN has them hell-bent on showing off their enthusiasm
on stage.
With plans to release new material in the first quarter of 2015, Mixalydia are now working
with prodcuer Charlie Francis (REM,High lama)
The lead singer, Jesse, has a unique voice and soulful, accompanied with Joss (guitar/vox),
Josh and Lydia, the band are something to behold.
Their influences meet at a crossroads, ranging from motown to punk with a dose of pop,
which somehow, all fuse together wonderfully.
Dave Owens, Wales online - ‘Valleys outfit, Mixalydia, put the power into power
pop ...and proved yet again why they’re such a fine live proposition’.
