Miss Lucid are a 4-piece, indie-rock band from Scotland.

Three quarters of the band hail from Peterhead, a decaying fishing town located in the North-East of Scotland. Like many frustrated youngsters growing up in a small town environment, the dream of escape was always prominent in their minds. “There must be more to this!?” they thought. This theme of escapism was to become an all too familiar story for the guys in Miss Lucid, in more ways than they care to talk about.

Having made the leap from a small town to a small city (Aberdeen), it only ever felt like they were jumping out of one small fish-bowl and into a slightly larger one. This fish-bowl jumping has led to the band now being spread out over Scotland; half the band is currently in Aberdeen, the other half in Glasgow and Forfar. Because of this, the band doesn’t get to rehearse together as much as they would like, but this isn’t the kind of band that is going to let a little thing like ‘distance’ get in the way of a good time.

During the past few years, Miss Lucid have been recording their first album together. The very ‘stop/start’ nature of the recording process, coupled with various life events, has often threatened the very existence of the band. However, there is an underlying determination and genuine hunger within this tight-knit group which has carried them through these often challenging and turbulent times and continues to drive them towards bigger and better things.

Miss Lucid offer their own style of 'in your face' rock, driven with the punk/grunge undertones of bands such as The Clash and Nirvana, blending large sonic sound scapes and crafted melodies reminiscent of Placebo and Manic Street Preachers.
This cohesive sound of anthemic and melodic guitars is bolstered with thought provoking, poignant lyricism with an abrasive pop knack.

Miss Lucid decided to start what they call a "real band" once former projects dissolved. Once completing the formation of the band, they released their debut EP, "This Life", in March 2012 closely followed by their second offering, "Feed to Breed" EP.
Since gigging solidly during 2013 and 2014, Miss Lucid have been locked away working on new material and reinforcing their sound. Their debut album is set for release in early 2017... So be on the lookout for them, ya heard?!
