Through personal and incisive original compositions, vibraphonist Mirko Pedrotti has gathered around him some of the most active and talented musicians present on the Trentino jazz scene, creating new and captivating musical ideas from the groove in which the irregular metres and modal harmonies form the basis of research and musical experimentation.
Stylistically, Pedrotti’s music travels in the direction taken by artists such as Dave Holland, Chris Potter, Avischai Cohen and Steve Coleman with an acknowledgement to the world of progressive-rock.
