Brought together by Miriam Campbell to allow her songs to be brought to the stage as she envisioned, MIR began life in 2012. Their first gig was the prestigious Belladrum Festival in 2012 and since then has went from strength to strength, gaining a reputation as a hard working and hard rocking band. Finding it hard to tag themselves into a genre, MIR are certainly a band that must be seen live to fully appreciate the energy levels presented by the band, coupled with Miriam's effervescence and onstage banter they are bringing something to the table that feels different. They effortlessly fuse Rock 'n' Roll, Americana, Country, Blues and have surely have invented Scotabilly as a genre.
