Since that moment, as he heard that track called "Weekend" by DJ Dick, Mike Dub should never get away from DJ culture and
electronic music anymore. An own record collection had to be built up, a first set of turntables had to be bought and deejaying had to be tried out.
In October of 1992 Mike had his first gig at a youth club called "Sky West" in Pirna (near Dresden) and played Hip Hop music by Public Enemy, 2Live Crew and Eric B. & Racim
In March of 1993 it came to his first club residency as he was asked to spin some records on Sundays at the "Sachs Music Hall" - the first and the biggest discotheque in Saxony ant that time. From now on his popularity in and around Dresden expanded quickly. Within the first two years he got gigs in almost every
club and location in east Saxony, and later even in Berlin, Nürnberg and the Czech Republic.
In 1994 Mike got his second residency at the
Musikfabrik - a truly legendary dance club in Saxony, well known even beyond state borders because of DJ Hardsequencer's (a.k.a. Hardy Hard) "Friday Scene" Radio Shows. This dance club had a unique flair and was so popular, that, as the dance club unfortunately burned down in 1998, even weeks later were found flowers, CD's and soft toys laid down at
the former entrance stairs
In the meantime Little M began to play more and more House music and finally became resident DJ at the infamous "Vivito Kicks" parties at the Parkhotel dance club in Dresden. Till 1996 Mike had become one of the most booked DJ's in Saxony, appreciated
for his well balanced and crunchy pumpin sound. Every Star-DJ that visited Dresden - from Paul van Dyk through Westbam to Sven Väth - could rely on a perfect warmed up crowd, prepared by Little M, of course!
At this time he had produced some tracks
together with Hardy Hard - some of them even
appeared on local club samplers. But, as Hardy
moved to Berlin and to Low Spirit records, this
connection broke apart quickly.
Since then Mike played at many small clubs and big events and presented a wide spread repertoire from House, Electro, Chillout to finest Detroit Techno. Finally, in 1999, he became resident DJ at the Kilowatt -the only serious Techno club of Dresden at that timeand
stayed there until it's closing in 2002.
In the meanwhile he had various gigs at the
discotheque Dance Factory where he finally met Alex Carbo. Quickly they discovered their almost identical understanding of progressive, smooth and groovy Techno music and started to write their first tracks together.
