Vocalist/producer Nicky Markin and drummer/producer Mickey Valenz craft a sound they call “pretty but gritty”—a genre-bending mix of alt-pop, electronica, and cinematic storytelling.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that there are only two of them. Every show is a full-body experience. Midnite Gossip brings a world of emotionally layered soundscapes that evolve from slow-burn introspection to euphoric anthems. Their performances are intimate and explosive, often feeling like a live film score or dream sequence unfolding in real time.

Fully DIY, they write, produce, record, and design every aspect of their project from music to merch to visuals. As neurodivergent artists, they are passionate about creating spaces that feel emotionally honest and accessible. Midnite Gossip doesn’t chase trends—they build atmospheres.

Since forming in 2022, they’ve headlined at Wintersong Music Festival (2025), performed at Canadian Music Week (2024), and Satellite Music + Art Fest (2023), with airplay on CBC, CKUA, and X92.9 FM. Their 2024 Live EP charted on CJSW and CJSR, and their self-directed music video won Best International Music Video at the Zepstone International Film Awards (2025). The duo will appear on CMCTV Talent Season 3 and be featured on TasteTV’s MUSIC CALIFORNIA series this fall, and are preparing to release their debut studio EP in late 2025.
