Merrick's Tusk are a group of four adult men from Nottingham re-living their early teen years of the mid 90's post-hardcore dream.

--

“…hails back to a melodic indie-rock sound more associated with bands such as Mineral and Texas Is The Reason; harking back to the hopes and dreams of the mid-90’s, a step removed from 80s hardcore…”

Kristy Diaz, Upset Magazine

“…these guys are well schooled in some of the more exciting acts of the emo/post-hardcore golden age, but there is also a fire that burns brightly in these Nottinghamshire lads, and a building, cataclysmic sound that’s in the same ballpark as the stadium rock ambitions of Lonely The Brave.”

Rob Mair, Already Heard

“…a band that have drawn a route through the familiar sonic territory of emo-rock with signposts to bands such as The Appleseed Cast, American Football and Jimmy Eat World to draw you in but with more than enough originality in their post-hardcore sensibilities to keep you there.”

Tony Shrum, New Noise Magazine

--

The Nottingham four-piece have built a strong following in the UK and Europe, leading to support slots for Jonah Matranga, Tellison and Beach Slang among others. The band are set to release their debut album 'Between the earth and the trees' in Summer 2018, produced and recorded with Jason Wilson of Stakeout Studios (Reuben, Fightstar, Dinosaur Pile-Up).
