She was born in Virginia, US in 1985, and began her career as a child star in Israel.
After serving in the army band for 2 years as a singer, she began creating her own music, which was influenced by a mixture of genres (folk, indie, country, jazz and Israeli music). Maytal was a contestant on the first season of "The Voice of Israel". She also works as an actress and has landed lead roles on popular TV shows.
In 2014 she released her debut album "Milim Kmo Mayim", as part of her work with the singer-songwriter Etzion Mayer.
For four years, the two performed all around Israel and the US.
Maytal is now focusing on her solo project, The I Am Project, which is due to be released as an album in Spring 2018. The I Am Project was born on a balcony in Tel Aviv. It is produced in collaboration with Itai Tsuk (Phototaxis).
Itai's special sound and attitude gives Maytal's intimate and honest music it's deep colors and allows space for the vocals and lyrics to reach the listener's core. Maytal's unique, soft and scratching sound, and way of expressing and delivering the songs, touches the heart and stimulates the mind.
