The compositions on the debut album "Prospect" all came about in an apartment in Brooklyn NY in 2013 and shine from the first moment on, due to their impressive complexity.
They bear witness to great vigour and verve, trickery and groove, passionate improvisation as a collective and mutual swerves through rapid unisono parts. Austere sound collages and wonderfully hypnotic moods, but also fast-paced worlds of swing are experienced here. An exceedingly agile band that performs this balancing act with apparent ease and a playful looseness, without ever seeming arbitrary or accommodating. An open-minded approach is taken here, with unsated curiosity, invention, pleasure in the unforeseeable, and ears wide open. Together with their audience, the five "ROOFER" musicians, all of whom are highly experienced, delight in scaling their musical edifice, so as to enjoy the breathtaking view at a dizzying height.
