What Fools Will Do | Single | 2016 | |
Rolling Road | EP | 2015 |
Comprised of UK and Brazilian nationalities the core members Nick Varey (guitar/vocals), Edu Bisogno (keys) and Miggy (drums) were brought together by a love of vintage edge and synthetic soundscapes from the here and now. The sound is an energetic and dynamic mass and is akin to Fleetwood Mac, Alabama Shakes and Catfish & The Bottlemen.
Recently the band has released their 1st single WHAT FOOLS WILL DO from their 2nd EP LOWLY HOUNDS Stompin' Ground, produced by Supergrass' bass player Mick Quinn. The single has been getting radio airplay in the UK (BBC Radio London, Time107.5 FM, Ipswich Community Radio, Kane FM Guildford) and in Brasil and has also been generating online buzz featuring at the cover of Indie Minded website, MusicMuso.Com and the Six Of The Best shortlist of BeehiveCandy.com.
The following 3 songs of this EP are scheduled to be released in May 2017.
LOWLY HOUNDS also have toured twice in Brazil (Nov '15 and April '16).
Every underdog has its day.

"The Lowly Hounds performed at Beacon Festival in Watlington, Oxfordshire, (...) their original music has an energetic blues rock feel with catchy riffs and great vocals, and with wonderful stage presence they were a ideal addition to our lineup. Their set also included a stunning perfomance of the Fleetwood Mac classic 'The Chain', a song many bands would never even attempt!"
Selina Gibsone, BEACON FESTIVAL
“Combining Rock riffs with carefully crafted lyrics and harmonies, Lowly Hounds are one of the most exciting emerging artists on the circuit at the moment, these guys are definitely ones to watch”
Gregg, HOTVOX
“With a sound that brings hints of Blues and with it’s influences deriving from classic rock mixed the pure truth of soul, the band made their audience’s night become much more interesting than expected. The insane keyboard sounds from Bisogno and his intense interaction with all the band were a show in itself, along with the groovy bass lines laid by Roos together with Miggy’s catchy beats, giving the perfect flow and groove for one to close their eyes and let himself go and shake like in the old days, as if you’re allowing the music to get into your soul. All this topped up with the strong vocals from Nick, whose lyrics are distilled with the best Blues/Rock riffs that come out of his guitar. That’s what we call “good eclecticism”, with an infinity of influences that make a perfect show to drink, dance and feel touched by the music.”
