Low Duo - Alternative Live Act in Sheffield

Low Duo Short Info

Low Duo are two brothers, Adam and Leigh Greenwood from Sheffield, who make sparse, minimal and emotional music with only one voice and one musical instrument.

Starting out with the intention of fulfilling a handful of bookings of their former band, the pair were buoyed by the reaction to their fragile live shows and released an EP. Catching the ear first of Tom Robinson who played the track 'It Was You and Me' from their debut on his BBC 6Music show and then of Paul Lester of The Guardian who featured them in his influential 'new band of the day' column, the pair have gone on to achieve some critical acclaim.

Featured several times in The Guardian, they have also been the worldwide 'artist of the day' on MySpace, been given a big thumbs up by The Fly and Drowned In Sound, had airplay from Steve Lamacq, XFM and recorded a live session and interview with Tom Robinson on 6Music, had their music featured in The Suicide Girls films (a trailer featuring the song 'No Happier' has had more than 100,000 views) and played with a wide range of artists including Ian McCulloch, Anna Calvi, London Grammar and Courtney Pine.
