Born in Belfast Carolann was raised in the lyrical heart of Derry- Stendhal and Danny Boys’ own Limavady. On piano and from rural Dungiven is composer/song writer Raymond O’ Kane. Raymond is a degree level music student and has a background in community related arts. Completing the trio is Irish traditional session acoustic guitarist and composer Luke McCloskey, also from Dungiven.
Lore recorded their debut EP at Blast Furnace Studios, Derry during summer 2014. The self-titled EP and title track single, 'Lost' was released in November 2014 and the band have been performing and promoting throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland since.
Lore has managed to squeeze in competition finals, live radio sessions - on Radio Ulster, Q Radio, Q105, Near FM among many and festival appearances at great events such as the Derry Clipper Festival, Ballyshannon Folk Festival and FSTV Festival.
They are currently working on the subsequent Album and organizing the Life. Love. Loss. Fate tour for summer 2015.
'Melancholy yet inspirational songs that bring to mind artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan... Carlile has an exceptional voice. She is dynamic, diverse and is able to deliver different shades of emotion within one single word. On top of that her slightly noticeable Irish accent is quite attractive.'
Jamie Funk, The Equal Ground
‘This musical trio not only make listeners feel as if they are living within the music themselves they also tell gripping stories with well written music and lyrics…Carlile embodies a powerful yet angelic voice that truly brings the music to life and shows us what Irish singing is all about.’ Ciara Walsh PureM Magazine
