"Joy Division with a twist" "The Death of Pop" “They are architects in a world of malicious ignition” Lone Poets are a 5 piece post punk, indie rock band hailing from Surrey, England.

Founded by singer and guitarist Michael Beard, the band consists of Dave Merrick (Guitar), Jim Butler (Keyboard), Jon Hills (Drums) and Harrison Holford (Bass).

The band began playing live in Greater London and Reading in late 2013, getting their songs "In a Dark Place" and "Only the Good Die Young" played on BBC Introducing in the process.

In March 2014 the band took a break from playing live to start work on their first EP and teamed up with Barny Barnicott to record it at his studio in Kent.

They released their first single "Only The Good" in July and continued to get radio airplay, this time branching to stations in Europe and America as well having a third song "Stay" played on BBC Introducing.

Lone Poets have begun playing gigs in London again to promote their EP, due to release in early 2015.
