LOA FRIDA was created in 2012 in the south of France as an acoustic trio, covering with guitar, little instruments (ukulele, glockenspiel, harmonica) and found objects (rocks, bells, plastic boxes...) the rich and orchestral compositions of Anka.
Starting with this DIY mood, rooted in a deep fascination for textures and sound diversity, the demanding songwriting of Anka pushed naturally the trio toward more and more electronic tools.
By the end of 2014 LOA FRIDA changed radically its lineup around a new instrumentarium made of a vibraphone, three keyboards and a laptop.
It was the time of the release of its first LP POP-FICTION.
In the beginnings of 2017, LOA FRIDA released BIPOLAR with the same lineup, a new set of songs showing a darker and more synthetic narrative.
Nowaday, LOA FRIDA presents its third moult conceived around a new instrumentation with vocals, keyboards, drums and laptop.
Taking the most out of electronic bricolages, deconstructed samples and strange textures, driven by anti-metronomic, explosive drums and high pitched, ultra-feminine vocals, LOA FRIDA will bring to the scene an insane mix of cold hystery, joyful sadness and feminine eccentricity...
