Littlemores are a York based, four piece guitar band.

We sing songs about the real lives of real people - and will never rhyme 'love' with 'dove'

We play loads of gigs - in fact pretty much anywhere where anyone will have us - get in touch if you want a house party or want to see us at a venue near you

We are pretty shit at describing ourselves - so here is what some of the critics have said about us:

'Intelligent guitar-pop with a beating heart and lyrics of astute intelligence. They say what they feel, not what convention dictates, and therefore their music carries an integrity and honest embrace that is sorely missing from most current UK guitar bands. The softer side of Arctic Monkeys; the stonier path of The Maccabees. - Highly recommended'.
David Edwards - Drowned in Sound
'
'Within minutes of Littlemores opening their set at The Cockpit they’ve grabbed the crowd’s attention. From the opening blasts the songs bound along with well measured guitar accents adding depth to tracks carried high on a tight rhythm section. Expertly delivered despite the best efforts of an unruly mic stand, it feels like the music world could do much worse than seeing more of these lads.
Tom Aspbury' - Counterfit Magazine @ The Cockpit

We have had plays on BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1 (and apparently Radio 2! ) and are currently midway through recording our third EP.

*"They’re Northern and unashamedly so - Conor Hirons is an accomplished lyricist in his own right, while the band have a clear knack for penning cracking tunes. ‘Blue Eyes Black’ tackles domestic violence head on, but without being either moralistic and preachy, or sensationalist, and wraps it all up in a neatly crafted pop parcel. It’s a high-impact start to a cracking EP. *

Christopher Nosnibor - 'Home Sweet Home' review - Whisperinandhollerin

If it were a film, Home Sweet Home – the brand new Extended Play record from that popular beat combo Littlemores – would most probably be Karel Reisz’s Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. They may well be separated by over half a century but both can be placed in the vanguard of the new wave, genuine classics of their respective genres. Each oozes bags of gritty kitchen-sink drama and packs a powerful emotional punch. Both are vital, fresh and have a rebelliousness underscored by the innocence of youth and in Conor Hirons Littlemores possess the most perfect Albert Finney anti-hero for the modern age.

Simon Godley - 'God is in the TV' review
