It's playful music that varies from completely superficial tunes to a rollercoaster of emotions and depth, the way music supposed to be. The band was formed in 2013 during a rehearsal of a different band, where Zizi came by to hang out and help the singer work on her stage act, but became a stage act herself. With her no prior experience in music, but well experienced in performing arts (dance, theathre) and poetry writing, began a soulsearching for the right band members and finding the way of expression and reaching out as well as reaching within. The magic happened about a year ago with existing band members.
Leslie – guitar and vocals, a lifelong musician, creative director and sometimes a lyrics writer. An introvert requiring a mind reading from the band members – who actually can do that pretty well!
Veki – bass, also a lifelong musician who plays guitar and sings (not from California, though). Sensitive kind with great sense for arrangement and composition.
Hrvoje – THE drummer, can damage your hearing (but never does). A perfect fit in our little dreamland. We do call him Bonzo sometimes.
Zizi – vocals, keyboard, percussions. Stumbled upon music and got hooked ever since. Lyrics writer and a rebell - on and off stage, occasionally driving band members insane with constant rearranging of songs tempo. Fierce, feisty, moody and everchanging.
The original bands are always hard to define by genre, but that's what makes them original. If you scratch a bit deeper into Lefty Mice music you will probably discover some of the moods of 70' New York scene or early 80's (CBGB). You can definitely say that Lefty Mice is anything but shy mice, who perform a fullblooded r'n'r with interesting lyrics and expressive performance of the first lady of the band – Zizi.
