Formerly known as the Laura Jurd Quartet, Dinosaur has been making significant waves in the UK and beyond in the past couple of years with appearances at major festivals and broadcasts on BBC Radio 3's 'Jazz on 3' and 'Jazz Line-Up'.
More recently the band have played European festivals such as the Berlin Jazz Festival, Jazz Sur Son 31and the International Jazzfestival Münster as well as touring Belgium with Belgian piano trio LABtrio. Playing original music by BBC New Generation Artist 2015-2017 Laura Jurd, the band plays music reminiscent of electric-Miles with a folkloric twist - characteristic of Laura's distinctive compositional voice. Having collaborated with the Ligeti Quartet on Laura's critically acclaimed debut album 'Landing Ground' in 2012, the band are currently enjoying regular performances as a small group developing some new material which they're looking forward to recording in 2016.
