Last Harbour - Alternative Dark-Pop Live Act in Manchester

Last Harbour Short Info

Based in the northern English city of Manchester, Last Harbour play honest, heartfelt music that moves from dusty laments to doom-filled rock, from starkly beautiful duets to hazy ambient passages. There is a dark, gothic heart to the band yet their music is always beautiful and transcendent. After working with producer Richard Formby (Wild Beasts, Spacemen 3, Herman Dune) on two previous albums, the band’s next record will be released in February 2015 by Gizeh Records (distributed by Kompakt).

SUNDAY TIMES (UK): “This album sounds magnificent. A collection of songs that should appeal to anyone enamoured of Tindersticks and Mark Lanegan.”
UNCUT (UK): “Melancholic and cinematic. The piano ballad ‘Never’ is like Scott Walker re-ordering Bowie’s ‘Heroes’.”
ARTROCKER (UK): “A spacious, intimate and hypnotic affair, reminiscent of Iggy Pop’s ‘Preliminaries’ with a nod to Timber Timbre.”
CLASH (UK): “A theatrical and beautifully brooding show that enraptured everyone.”
DROWNED IN SOUND (UK): “Rich and foreboding, tracing a thread back to the post- industrial landscapes of Joy Division.”
