The sound of the band is characterised by simple, aggressive rhythms with obvious hooks and progressions.

We look for a violent reaction from a crowd, not muted chin-stroking appreciation.

We’ve supported some amazing bands locally and nationally, including; Winterfyllth, Attica Rage, Decapitated, Aborted, Sylosis, Heretic Order and Diamond Head - generating a great crowd reaction each time and gathering new fans.

Influences include Hatebreed, Sepultura, Bolt Thrower, Stampin’ Ground and Unearth.

The current line-up had been going since 2014, but the KuRu dynamic has been developing since 2010.

We're constantly working on new material, recording stuff and making our own videos - for no good reason other than we love it.
