That is how her project was born without warning, and this is how a diary of submarine memories titled Brave Journey Into The English Sea (2018), June’s Kaleidoscope’s newest second album, eventually arrived.

Seamlessly becoming a songstress, and greatly influenced by a classical music education, June’s songs made her finalist at Hard Rock Café’s The Rising of Bands in London (2012), amongst thousands of participants, and shortly after, her first EP started to be broadcasted at BBC London Introducing. June’s K began spending her time gigging at the londoner live scene for a few years, traveling around the UK, and finding the influences and the stories that would build her second music work: An orchestral ode full of Atlantic landscapes etched in her memory – A visual diary, almost cinematographic, in which she expresses her constant astonishment for nature and a nostalgic sensitivity, holding tight a love that was not meant to be.

After being selected as an international participant at the NC Songwriting Workshop at New York University, amongst producers and songwriters such as Phil Galdston (Esperanza Spalding, Beyonce) or Barry Eastmond (Aretha Franklin), and being one of the winners at the Secret 7’’ Competition in London, organised by Universal Music UK, Arantxa returned to her old piano room, where she finished her second EP.

Under the guidance and production of Matt Ingram (Laura Marling, Florence + The Machine, Lianne La Havas) Brave Journey Into The English Sea was finished at Urchin Studios (London), also counting on the collaboration of Fyfe Dangerfield (The Guillemots), and the awarded engineer Dan Cox (MPG Award).

Having the opportunity to be the supporting act of Jamie Cullum last summer in Spain, who is one of her biggest influences, June’s Kaleidoscope has just begun her first national headlining tour in Spain, always accompanied by a band that includes outstanding string arrangements. Her voice, intimate but full of contrasts, and her intense music personality, has gained her an exceptional support and encouraging reviews from the major press and media critics; who consider her as one of today’s most interesting musicians to follow, in and outside Spain.
