Heralding from the steel city of Sheffield, the impassioned indie rock band are now ready to launch themselves into what will be a busy 2015.
Julia, a name which many people have chosen to interpret differently with some mentioning a link to John Lennon’s mother, formed in the summer of 2014 and have spent the last six months discovering, honing and perfecting a unique brand of hard hitting, yet carefully considered rock and roll.
The four-piece, made up of lead singer Matt Hall, guitarist Andy Martin, bassist Will Hitchmough and drummer Joe Smith have a wide array of influences from the classic in The Beatles, Cure and the Rolling Stones, to the more modern in The National, Black Keys, War on Drugs and The Walkmen.
Working with Sheffield producer Dave Sanderson at legendary 2fly Studios, the recently revealed tracks are the culmination of six months hard work in hibernation for Julia.
