Josh Taerk is a singer/songwriter based in Toronto, Canada whose influences include storytellers and songwriters like Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Neil Young amongst others.

Josh has toured extensively in the United Kingdom since 2011, including performances in England, Scotland and Wales. In Canada, Josh has performed throughout his home province of Ontario, into Quebec, as well as British Columbia while also having performed select shows in the US.

The UK: In 2013, Josh played 65 shows in England, including a Headline 20 campus University tour that took him from southern England north all the way to Edinburgh and Glasgow. In total Josh has done 5 tours in the UK. 2011-2014, Josh was key support opening for "The Soldiers", the first rock/pop group of serving, British soldiers with album sales of over 1 million sold. Josh toured with The Soldiers in January and February of 2012, then again in August of 2012, and from January through to March, and into early April of 2013.

Canada: Josh performed as part of Canada Music Week’s first acoustic showcase at Czehoski in 2010, and in September 2012, Josh performed as part of Canada's Walk of Fame Festival at Nathan Philip's Square. Josh has played the Toronto Wine & Spirit Festival, now The Redpath Waterfront Festival 4 consecutive years since 2010, and Josh recently played 2 judged showcases at Indie Week Canada 2014 as part of the band competition making it to the Semi-Final round.

USA: In late October of 2010 Josh opened for Max Weinberg (Drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and Ex-Band leader for Conan O'Brien on NBC) to a sold out crowd at the South Orange Performing Arts Centre, Max's hometown, in New Jersey. In April of 2011 Josh was chosen to play 2 shows at the John Oates Aspen Songwriters Festival. In June 2011 Josh played Bruce Springsteen's 'Ramrod' with Max Weinberg at Summerfest in Milwaukee as tribute to the late Clarence Clemons. In 2014 John Oates introduced Josh to producer and guitar player for Kevin Costner and Modern West, Teddy Morgan who is currently working with Josh on his new album scheduled to be released in spring 2015.
