"The Artizans have mastered the merging of classical and modern, resulting in an authentic blend of old and new; and have challenged basic music genres to create their own label of sound." London HipHopera band ‘Josephine and the Artizans’ (JATA) - a group that fuses hip-hop with classical music.

The 7-piece line-up consists of classical strings, heavy beats, operatic vocals and energetic rap.

Josephine founded the band to bring back classical music with a twist and make the genre more accessible for young people.

Josephine & The Artizans have performed a flurry of live shows this summer including festivals Glastonbury, WOMAD, Camp Bestival, NASS festival, Standon Calling, El Dorado and many more. The band have previously wowed crowds across the UK at festivals including Boomtown Fair, One Love Festival, BBC Carfest, headlined Rhythms of the World and supported acts such as Tom Jones, Tom Odell and Paloma Faith.
JATA’s YouTube video views total over 190k and they have recently been highlighted by BBC Introducing, BBC 3 Counties and BBC Radio 6.
