My music explores the great complexity of English Folk music whilst also showcasing my interest in contemporary avant garde improvisation, electronic music and Medieval music.

Currently I am working on a project to move my so far solo guitar and voice act into the area of live electonics to further explore the limits of traditional music.

... But right now I perform a mixture of English folk and my own songs (follow the soundcloud link!). As well as a great deal of experience playing gigs in England I have recently played with two different jazz bands and an experimental improvisation group. So I'm easy to provide for.

If you have any American or English folk guitarist in mind then I have heard of them! I have no idea how popular the English ones are over here so I will mention Sixto Rodriguez, Townes van Zandt, Fairport Convention, Roy Harper, Bert Jansch, The Incredible String Band, Jethro Tull, The Third Ear Band, Derek Bailey, Evan Parker, John McLaughlin, Tom Waits and Steve Coleman as influences (weird but true).

Ich bin Englische Gitarrist, Sänger und Musiker aus Newcastle Upon Tyne. Meine Musik erforscht die große Kompliziertheit der Englische Volksmusik, aber auch verrate meine Interesse an der zeitgenössische Avantgarde, Improvisieren, Elektronischemusik und Mittelalter Musik.

Derzeit entwickle ich ein Projekt, mein Musik der Bereich des Live Electronics hinein zu bringen, um weiter der Rahmen der Volksmusik zu erforschen.
